Lecturer Anais Holgado Lage Publishes Dictionary of Discourse Markers
Anais Holgado Lage recently published the book Diccionario de marcadores discursivos para estudiantes de español como segunda lengua. A dictionary of expressions to be used by both students and instructors of Spanish.
The dictionary, edited by publisher Peter Lang, includes 700 expressions of different kinds: link words, speech organizers and conversational markers and was the core of Anais Holgado Lage’s Ph.D. thesis, defended at the University of Salamanca in 2014. Every entry is organized by level and function and includes several examples. The book is already available for consultation here at Firestone Library and will be soon at the Princeton Center for Language Study.
