‘¡A luchar por la justicia idiomática!’ o la racialización de la norma lingüística en Colombia

Lecturer Carolina Chaves-O’Flynn presented a paper at the 9th Workshop on Spanish Sociolinguistics (April 4-7, 2018) in Queens College of the City University of New York. in it she explored the subordination of Afro-descendant speakers from the Colombian Pacific coast, based on the linguistic representation made of them in the animated program “Profesor Super-ó”. Her work constitutes a contribution to the field of sociolinguistic studies in Colombia from a “glotopolitical” perspective.
