Lingüística en Contexto: An educational project that impacts the community
During the spring semester, students in SPA 211 (Varieties of Spanish) design and produce an educational video about a specific topic related to linguistic variation in Spanish. The videos are part of the series “Lingüística en Contexto”, which is available on the Princeton University YouTube channel (access it here).
This activity not only helps them comprehend certain concepts in an empirical way, but it also gives them the opportunity to explain them to an audience who is not necessarily familiarized with these topics.
This is a group project developed through various stages, which include writing a proposal, creating a storyboard, writing a script, designing an animation, and presenting the final version to the class.
